Founded in 2007, the fair trade company WomenCraft supports over 600 women weavers from the crisis-ridden triangle of Tanzania, Burundi and Rwanda. The vision and support of these women is based on the following pillars: economic development, growth, peace-building community education as WomenCraft mostly brings together women from rural regions with different backgrounds and enables access to the global market for handicrafts. Tensions between the individual refugee women and groups are reduced and reconciled through a new sense of community.
