Finnish design meets Kenyan craftsmanship: Mifuko tells the story of two friends and 700 strong women! Mifuko was founded as a social business in 2009 by Finnish designers Mari Martikainen and Minna Impiö. Together with their team of over 700 Kenyan craftswomen, they are guided by three core values: to be unique, fun-loving and socially responsible! This philosophy is also reflected in their products: traditionally woven Kiondo baskets with a sustainable and fair message! Mifuko is a recognised member of the World Fair Trade Organisation.
